Type your search like you would to a friend — "diesel hatchback under £8k with low miles", "family SUV for the school run", "van for trade work". No filter tunnels. Carous AI understands use-case queries that ticking boxes can't express.
Or photo-search a car you saw
Spotted something parked up? Tap the camera button and upload a photo. Carous AI identifies the make, model, body and year range, then surfaces similar cars from across the network in seconds.
Compare two or three side by side
Bookmark candidates, then enter compare mode in your saved panel. Carous AI generates an honest, dealer-neutral verdict: which is cheaper-per-mile, which suits which buyer, what to check at viewing.
Pin the messages that matter
Found a specific car you're going back to? Pin the message. It stays at the top of your chat so you can always find it. Up to 3 pins per chat, just like WhatsApp.
Reply to refine
Swipe right on any message to reply to it. Carous AI keeps the context, so "cheaper alternative?" or "same but automatic?" gets a tightly-scoped follow-up, not a fresh search.
Save a search to get alerts
Run a search you'd come back to and tap "Save this search". Next time you open Carous AI, fresh matches show as a "+N new" badge in the sidebar. No more rechecking the same query every day.
Why a chat, not a filter UI?
UK car listings sites have spent two decades on the same form: make, body, fuel, gearbox, price slider, mileage slider, postcode radius. It works if you already know exactly what you want. It falls apart the moment you don’t — and most buyers don’t.
“Reliable family car for under £8k” isn’t a filter. “Good for a long motorway commute” isn’t a filter. “Cheap to insure for a 19-year-old” isn’t a filter. They’re questions, and Carous AI is built to answer them by reasoning over the whole network’s stock the way a knowledgeable friend would.
What Carous AI won’t do
We won’t fabricate a result that doesn’t exist. If the network doesn’t have a 2018 Audi A4 saloon under £8k within 30 miles of you, the chat will say so honestly and suggest relaxing one of the constraints. We’d rather lose the search than send you to a forecourt for a car that isn’t there.
We also won’t intercept the lead. When you tap View on a result, you land on the dealer’s own page — the same page they’d show on Auto Trader or their own forecourt site — where you book the viewing or send the enquiry directly. Carous AI is the front door, not the funnel.
